Claude Allin Shepperson ARA ARE ARWS RI (1867-1921)
Shepperson, born at Beckenham, Kent, studied art in Paris and at Heatherley’s School. A noted landscape painter and etcher, he exhibited extensively at, for example, the Royal Academy, the Royal Watercolour Society and the Leicester Galleries. His society-themed cartoons appeared in Punch from 1905. Shepperson was elected an Associate member of the Royal Academy in 1919.
