
Robert Brandard (1805-1862)
Brandard was a noted landscape engraver and watercolour artist from Birmingham. In 1824, he moved to London where he worked with Edward Goodall (1795-1870).
He produced plates for numerous publications and published his own etched views in 1844. He is recorded as having had two apprentices: his younger brother Edward Paxman Brandard (1819–1898) and Joseph Clayton Bentley (1809–1851).
In addition to his published work, Brandard occasionally exhibited at the British Institution.
