William Angus (1752-1821)
Angus was an engraver and artist who studied under William Walker.
According to Bryan’s Dictionary, ‘He engraved and published a great number of gentlemen’s seat in England and Wales, which were executed by him in a delicate and pleasing manner. He was also employed on many other topographical publications of the period. He did not confine his graver to his own drawings, but exercised it on those of [Thomas] Stothard, Paul Sandby, Edward Dayes, George Samuel and others of high repute.’
