Robert Wallis (1794-1878)
London-born Wallis excelled at line-engraved landscapes; his prints appeared in numerous publications in the nineteenth century.
According to Bryan’s Dictionary, ‘his renderings of [J M W] Turner’, such as the engraving of Trematon Castle, right, ‘are excellent.’
His father Thomas and brothers Henry and William were also line engravers.
