John Thornthwaite (b. c. 1740)
Thornthwaite is recorded as working in London from 1771 to 1794. He produced engravings for John Bell’s Shakespeare, 1787 and the Bookseller’s British Theatre, together with a portrait of William Hunter, founder of the Hunterian Museum, Glasgow.
