James Storer (1781-1853)
Storer was born at Cambridge, where he worked in the early part of his engraving career; he later moved to London.
Architecture subjects were his speciality. His engraved plates were used in The Antiquities of the Inns of Court and Chancery, 1804, Views in North Britain, 1805 and History and Antiquities of British Cathedrals, 1814, amongst others.
He was often assisted by his son and fellow engraver Henry Sargant Storer (d.1837).
