George Oyston (1861-1937)
Oyston was born at North Shields and practised art in the North East of England (he regularly exhibited at the Bewick Club at Newcastle upon Tyne during the 1880s and 1890s). He later moved to the Thames Valley and continued to paint and exhibit at, for example, the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour and at the Royal Society of British Artists.
