Charles Haigh-Wood (1856-1927)
Haigh-Wood was born at Bury in Lancashire. He later studied at the Royal Academy Schools. He was a noted painter of portraits and genre scenes and an accomplished etcher; he was elected an Associate member of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers in 1917. Haigh-Wood exhibited widely including at the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of British Artists and at Manchester City Art Gallery.
